An independent SME anchored in the world of rearing

1984: Creation of Bio Armor SA, company specialised in the manufacturing and marketing of products for livestock farms: nutritional products (and mainly probiotics), and products for slurry treatment - for cattle, swine and poultry.

1993: creation of the subsidiary Bio Armor Environnement, specialised in the building of slurry treatment plants.

1997: European authorisation for the lactic acid bacteria Biacton, probiotic for piglets; this strain is produced and marketed by Bio Armor, at that time one of the first companies of the sector to obtain an official approval for one probiotic.

1999: Bio Armor sells its subsidiary Bio Armor Environnement to Vivendi (ex Générale des Eaux) and focuses on the activity "products for livestock farms".

2000: Creation of Bio Armor Développement by Marc Le Roux (managing director), associated to the employees (owning 30% of the shares of the company). Bio Armor Développement, independent PLC, takes over the "products" activity of Bio Armor SA, outside the production of Biacton, itself sold to one dedicated company, Innoventis.

2002: ISO 9001 version 2000 awarded. Procedure aiming to stimulate and coordinate the actions allowing to guarantee our customers quality and traceability of the products.

2005: GMP awarded. Specific regulation for the companies dealing with animal nutrition, assuring hygiene, traceability and safety for feed products, and mainly consisting of the HACCP system validation. Bio Armor Développement has been one of the first companies of the sector to obtain this award, which was compulsory to keep on selling its products to countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg.

2005: Organic award for one specific range of products for organic farms.

2011: Bio Armor Développement changes its visual identity and refocuses on the name BioArmor, with a new signature, "Natural livestock farming", which asserts our identity and our skill: design and market natural products for rearing.

2013: BioArmor remains today an independent company whose shares are owned by Marc Le Roux for 77% and by the employees for 23%.
